This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use Nut Studio (the "Product"). Please read this Policy carefully and ensure you fully understand it before using the Product.
1. Data Processing Principles
1.1 Local Processing Priority
When using locally deployed models, all user data—including input content, conversation history, and generated outputs—is processed and stored entirely on the user's device.
No data is transmitted to any external server unless explicitly authorized by the user. This architecture ensures that sensitive information remains fully under the user's control at all times.
1.2 Nut Studio Cloud Data Processing
When users choose to access Nut Studio's proprietary cloud-based AI models, relevant data (such as prompts and responses) is securely transmitted over encrypted connections for real-time processing.
Nut Studio does not store, log, or use any transmitted data for model training, profiling, analytics, or any other secondary purposes. All interactions with cloud models are transient, privacy-focused, and fully initiated by the user.
1.3 Minimized and Purpose-Limited Data Handling
Whether using local or cloud models, the Product strictly follows the principle of data minimization. No personally identifiable information is collected, accessed, or retained unless:
- The user has provided clear and explicit authorization;
- The data access is strictly necessary for specific, limited purposes such as technical support, diagnostics, or product improvement.
Any such data, if temporarily accessed, is handled with strict security controls, used solely for its intended purpose, and not retained longer than necessary.
2. Third-Party Model Integration
2.1 Locally Deployed Third-Party Models
The Product allows users to manually install and run third-party AI models on their local devices. These models are not developed, provided, or maintained by Nut Studio.
Users are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable open-source licenses and laws;
- Evaluating the reliability, security, and legality of the model’s behavior and output.
Nut Studio and its developers disclaim all responsibility for any risks or consequences arising from the use of such models, including but not limited to data processing issues, content accuracy, or legal non-compliance. Users assume full responsibility and legal liability for all outcomes resulting from their use of third-party local models.
2.2 Third-Party Cloud Model APIs
The Product also supports user-initiated access to third-party AI services via external API integration. All data transmitted to and processed by these services is governed exclusively by the third-party provider's own privacy policy and security practices.
Nut Studio does not control, store, or supervise any data exchanged with third-party cloud models, and shall not be held liable for any privacy violations, data leakage, service failures, or misuse of information occurring through such services.
3. Data Usage and Authorization
Scope of Authorization
Only with the user's explicit consent, and solely for purposes such as technical support, troubleshooting, or product improvements, may the Product temporarily access necessary usage data.
Data Security
Any collected data is strictly limited to the intended purpose and protected with robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
4. Data Security Measures
Local Security
All data generated by local models is stored exclusively on the user's device, ensuring full control and ownership of personal data.
Nut Studio Cloud Model Security
When using Nut Studio's proprietary cloud AI models, all data transmissions are protected by end-to-end encryption to prevent interception or unauthorized access. Nut Studio enforces strict security measures to safeguard data privacy during processing, and does not store, log, or use user data beyond the immediate processing of requests.
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for securing their devices and operating environments, including protection against malware, unauthorized access, physical theft, or other risks that may compromise data security.
Permission Management
All permission requests from the Product are strictly tied to necessary functionalities and require explicit user consent before activation.
5. Protection of Minors
The Product is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 14 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If a minor is found using the Product, usage should be stopped immediately and guardians notified.
6. User Rights and Obligations
Control Over Data
Users may manage and delete all personal data and usage records stored locally at any time.
Compliance Commitment
Users agree to use the Product legally and responsibly, refraining from generating or distributing unlawful or infringing content. Users bear all legal liabilities arising from their use of the Product.
Disclaimer
Users acknowledge and accept that the Product makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content, and disclaims any direct or indirect losses resulting from use of the Product.
